The first official images have been released from next Tuesday’s episode of The Flash, and they offer up a first look at the return of Henry Allen after his confusing and sudden departure in the season two premiere.

While the episode is set to revolve around the return of Gorilla Grodd (who can also be glimpsed in the gallery above), it will also feature the surprise return of the Reverse-Flash. Well, sort of. As an earlier promo already confirmed, that’s the Earth-2 Harrison Wells who volunteers to don the costume in a bid to fool the telepathic gorilla into releasing Caitlin.

Here’s the synopsis for the episode – titled “Gorilla Warfare” – courtesy of The CW:

Grodd returns to Central City and kidnaps Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker). Barry (Grant Gustin) and team race to find her before it’s too late. Meanwhile, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) plans his first date with the new barista at Jitters, Kendra Saunders (guest star Ciara Renée) and Patty (guest star Shantel VanSanten) begins to suspect Barry is hiding something from her. Dermott Downs directed the episode written by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.

Following Zoom’s attack on Barry in this week’s instalment of The Flash, it should be very interesting to see how the now speedless Scarlet Speedster deals with the threat of both Grodd and seeing Wells suited up as the Reverse-Flash.
