It’s a conflict that will underpin Walker’s arc throughout the show’s first season, and his inner conflict is alluded to in Sony’s latest clip for the PlayStation-exclusive series. Adapted from Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming’s eponymous comic series, Powers will follow Walker and his partner Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward) as they find themselves caught amidst the two factions.

David Slade, the man behind 30 Days of Night, helmed the first two episodes of the company’s fantasy series, which also stars Noah Taylor, Eddie Izzard and Michelle Forbes.

Sony’s PlayStation-exclusive Powers series will premiere on March 10 with a set of three episodes. From that point on, the studio will unveil a new installment of the supernatural crime drama every Tuesday.

Powers, an edgy dramatic series, follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, referred to as “Powers.” Set amidst today’s paparazzi culture, Powers asks the questions, what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals?

Enter the men and women of the Powers Division, the brave people in charge of protecting humans like us and keeping the peace over commercialized, god-like men and women who glide through the sky imposing their power over the mortals who both worship and fear them.
