The fourth and final season of Star Wars Rebels is almost here. The two part opening episode, “Heroes of Mandalore,” will air in one hour-long chunk at several times throughout the day this coming Monday on Disney XD. And now, ahead of its arrival, we have several awesome promo images (seen above) which tease a dangerous new mission for the crew of The Ghost.

The premiere sees Sabine Wren take charge, leading Ezra Bridger, Kanan and an army of Mandalorians back to her Empire-controlled homeworld in order to free her father. While there, she discovers that the Empire has resurrected a devastating weapon of her own devising. With her people threatened, Sabine must struggle with a difficult choice: destroy the weapon, or use it herself to eliminate her enemies.

As the synopsis suggests, Star Wars Rebels season 4 is set to be the most mature and darkest outing of the animated series yet, as it brings the events ever closer to the beginning of A New Hope. Grand Admiral Thrawn will still be on The Ghost crew’s case, with Grand Moff Tarkin also turning up to discuss his plans for a new super weapon. But just as the Empire is mobilizing, so are the Rebels. The final trailer for the season teased that, by the end, the fully fledged Rebel Alliance of the movies will be in place.

But before Rebels returns, you might be looking for a refresher course to remind you of what’s come before. If so, you’re in luck, as we have just the video to help. You can now relive the major developments of the first three seasons with the five minute compilation above. It runs through a number of pivotal moments, including Ezra’s first exploration of his Force powers in season 1, the climatic conflict between Ahsoka Tano and Darth Vader in season 2 and the final battle between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul in season 3.

Star Wars Rebels “Heroes of Mandalore” airs at 12:30am, 3:00am, 7:30am, 5:30pm and/or 9pm EDT/PDT on Disney XD (as well as being available on its associated app) on October 16th.
