Since 2013, Hunger helmer Steve McQueen has been developing a project for HBO that the cable giant has since qualified for a limited series order. McQueen will direct all six episodes of Codes Of Conduct, which Deadline dubs “an exploration of a young African-American man’s experience entering New York high society, with a past that might not be what it seems.” The director collaborated on the scripts with World War Z co-writer Matthew Michael Carnahan.

Casting on the series has already begun with a small-yet-impressive bunch of names now attached. Paul Dano, Helena Bonham Carter and Rebecca Hall will co-star with newcomer Devon Terrell set to lead. Codes Of Conduct will revolve around Terrell’s character, Beverly Snow, who is described as “a young man from Queens as talented as he is ambiguous. His self-confidence will enable him to break into the social circles of Manhattan’s elite, testing the boundaries of access and social mobility.”

Stay tuned as we’ll keep you posted on any additional announcements regarding Codes Of Conduct as and when they arise.
