New Supergirl Photo And Synopsis Reveal Another Worldkiller

So far this season, Supergirl has had to contend with what could be argued is her most formidable foe to date: Reign. Not only has this year's big bad already handed the Girl of Steel a brutal beatdown like no other, but our heroine was rendered comatose for a while due to the encounter.

But, if you tuned in for the midseason premiere last week, then you’d know that more Worldkillers are on the way. In fact, we can now confirm that Krys Marshall’s mysterious character, Purity, is one of them. Previously described as having some sort of connection to Reign, she could have gone in any direction, but we’re guessing the February 5th episode will be yet another trying time for Kara.

Still, showrunners Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner teased Entertainment Weekly that “Purity is not what anyone expects and their showdown is full of surprises.” Furthermore, the outlet released an image of her gaining the upper hand on Kara, which can be seen below.

All intrigue aside, we advise that you savor this for all you can, lest we forget that the series will soon be going on hiatus until April. In fact, “Both Sides Now,” the very episode we’ve been speaking of, will be the last we see for a while, so expect some major stuff to go down.

However, Purity escapes and attacks the city’s subway tunnels. Meanwhile, J’onn (David Harewood), Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and Mon-El (Christopher Wood) band together to fix the Legion ship.
