AMC Posts New Episode Titles And Synopses For The Walking Dead Season 8

We now know the titles of another two episodes of The Walking Dead season 8, while SpoilerTV has also uncovered their respective synopsis.

So far, AMC has detailed only three episodes of The Walking Dead season 8: “Mercy,” “The Damned” and “Monsters.”

The first is arguably the most buzzworthy of the lot, given it’s set to jump-start the show’s breathless eighth season this coming weekend. Not only that, but “Mercy” is also on the verge of becoming The Walking Dead‘s 100th episode, and AMC is pulling out all the stops to ensure Sunday’s premiere is one to remember.

It’ll seemingly set the pace for the entirety of The Walking Dead season 8, and though AMC is still playing its cards close to the vest, SpoilerTV has now uncovered the official titles and synopses for episodes four and five: “Some Guy” and “The Big Scary U.” Set to arrive on November 12th and November 19th, respectively, each instalment looks set to place a particular emphasis on the Saviors, with “The Big Scary U” promising to showcase AMC’s all-out war through a “familiar set of eyes.” Cue the speculation.

Beyond that fascinating teaser, each synopsis is a fairly vague teaser of what’s to come. If nothing else, it’s all but certain that The Walking Dead‘s Negan/Rick Grimes saga will continue to rage for all 16 episodes. Season 8 is said to herald a sense of closure to that bitter fight, though, so perhaps Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s sadistic ruler will bite the bullet in next year’s finale? Time will tell.

Per SpoilerTV

Episode 8.04 – “Some Guy”
A new weapon in the Savior arsenal proves to be a giant hurdle as fighting continues between Rick’s forces and those of the Saviors.

Episode 8.05 – “The Big Scary U”

The Walking Dead season 8 kicks off on Sunday, October 22nd via AMC. As is often the case, those across the pond can expect “Mercy” to premiere via Fox UK one day later, meaning there will be plenty of fans undergoing a 24-hour blackout to avoid any and all spoilers.
