Tom Hardy’s Out For Revenge In Dark New Taboo Trailer

Tom Hardy has quickly developed into one of the most talented and reliable actors of his generation, showing a real knack for characters that are as dark as they are fiercely intense. That's a path he'll continue on this January with FX's gritty miniseries Taboo, which has the British thesp stepping into the grubby boots of swashbuckling adventurer, James Keziah Delaney.

From the character description alone, we know that Delaney is “a man who has been to the ends of the earth and comes back irrevocably changed,” and now, thanks to one final trailer for the show, we get an even better look at Hardy’s character, who’s returned home to London after being reported dead for several years. He’s out for revenge, too, it seems and promises that he’s about to do some very “foolish things.” Not everyone is pleased about his return though, as the trailer shows us that Delaney still has quite a few enemies who’d like to see him dead.

This final tease for the show doesn’t give much away in terms of plot, but it does provide us with another look into the bizarre and captivating world of Taboo (one which boasts impressive production and costume design), along with showing off all the talent that’s involved, like Ridley Scott and Steven Knight. It’s an impressive group that’ve put together FX’s new series, to be sure, and we’re pretty confident that it’ll be another shining credit on Hardy’s already stellar resume.

Taboo premieres on Tuesday, January 10 at 10pm ET/PT and co-stars Game of Thrones alum Jonathan Pryce, Oona Chaplin, Stephen Graham, Michael Kelly (House of Cards, Black Mirror), Jessie Buckley, David Hayman, Tom Hollander and Franka Potente.

For those looking for even more from Hardy, be sure to keep an eye out for the actor in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, which hits theatres on July 21st, 2017.
