One Tree Hill is set to make its midseason premiere in just a few short weeks and  the CW has just officially released a promo video!

Fans of the series will get one more chance to visit Tree Hill and say goodbye to their favorite characters.  This will be the ninth, and final, season for this teen drama – one of the only to survive the WB/UPN merger.  The show will air for 13 more episodes giving writers plenty of time to wrap up storylines in pretty little bows and bring home formers stars (like Chad Michael Murray, who has already been confirmed, and Hilarie Burton, who we are still crossing our fingers for) to make epic cameos.

This is a great way to end a long running show like this and a show like One Tree Hill definitely deserves this kind of exit strategy.

The CW teased fans with a promo video only available on Facebook for users that liked the fan page. It has since leaked to other internet sites including YouTube.  There is so much information, and yet nothing really plot-wise to hold on to, packed in 55 seconds of montage friendly footage. The most obvious clue about Season 9 in the trailer was that Nathan (James Lafferty) is being held captive somewhere – we see him tied up and being hit repeatedly.

Emotions will be high on January 11th at 8:00 p.m. when One Tree Hill makes its comeback!
