In the first clip, which can be viewed at the top, BD Wong continues to play Hugo Strange to perfection as he not only offers us more insight into the sinister Indian Hill, but also becomes fascinated with Gotham City’s frosty new rogue. Seeing as how Nora Fries is about to be transferred to Arkham’s medical wing, it should make for some can’t miss television when the paths of Victor Fries and Hugo Strange converge.

Every word that comes from Strange’s mouth is dripping with such intellectualism and Machiavellianism – it is no wonder why the character’s first live action portrayal has already been so well received by fans. There’s also the fact that he looks as though he were plucked directly from the pages of a comic book or the video game Batman: Arkham City.

The second clip, appropriately titled “In This Together,” sees a young Bruce Wayne furiously hit the heavy bag as he continues the training that will eventually lead to his becoming Batman. Not only that, Alfred stops by to discuss the pursuit of Bruce’s parents’ killer. Considering that Matches Malone, who has been named as the gunman in this particular continuity, will be appearing in an upcoming episode, this is most definitely a plot thread to keep an eye on.

For more details, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:

As Gordon, Bullock and Barnes continue the search for Victor Fries (Darrow), they are forced to look to his wife, Nora (guest-star Kristen Hager), for help. Meanwhile, Penguin is introduced to Hugo Strange (Wong), and Alfred reveals some crucial information to Bruce about his parents’ murderer.

Gotham airs Monday nights at 8:00 pm EST on Fox.
