In “Time for After,” Andrew Lincoln’s survivor had to bargain his way out of his imprisonment at the hands of the Scavengers, as he attempted to recruit new soldiers for the fight against Negan. Elsewhere, Daryl carried out his rogue mission to plow a truck into the Sanctuary, allowing walkers to pile inside, but Michonne and Rosita proved to be not as on board with the plan as he and Tara thought. Meanwhile, inside, Eugene had to deal with the zombie problem as well as struggling with the knowledge of Dwight’s betrayal.

All in all, this was another solid hour of television for the show, and the plot of season 8 is continuing to move along nicely, leaving us excited to see where things go from here. Speaking of which, we now have the first promo and sneak peek for next week’s installment, which is the midseason finale and will hopefully send the show off onto its winter break with a bang.

In addition to that, the official synopsis for the episode was released a few weeks ago, too. Obviously, it’s a little on the vague side in order to keep the events of the outing a secret, but it does promise that all of the plot threads that have built up across season 8 so far will come “crashing together” in an episode that will have some “emotional” fallout.

Every story and battle from the first half of the season comes crashing together in this action-packed, emotional mid-season finale.

Be sure to tune in to the midseason finale when The Walking Dead returns to AMC on Sunday, December 10th!
