The War On Terror Rages On In Homeland Season 6 Teaser

The war on terror rages on in the all-new teaser trailer for Homeland season 6. It'll return via Showtime on January 15, 2017 at 9:00 pm ET/PT.

Less of a brand new teaser and more of a “Road So Far” montage, Showtime has today unveiled the new promo for Homeland season 6.

Simultaneously checking in on the events that transpired during last year’s episodes – cliffhanger included – and introducing viewers to the show’s relocation to New York City, it’s a neat tease of what’s to come. Couple those glowing reviews with the casting of Elizabeth Marvel as Homeland‘s President-elect and you have all the makings of a nail-biting season.

Carrie’s excursion to Berlin threw up one curveball after the other, with the real sucker punch being that Quinn (Rupert Friend) could have some hand in a new geopolitical threat. But now that Showtime’s flagship procedural is moving back to home turf, it’ll be fascinating to see how those questions are answered. It’s a mystery that is perhaps best summarized by Carrie at the end of the teaser, conceding, “I don’t know what’s ahead, but all bets are off.” That they are, Carrie. That they are.

Homeland makes its return to the airwaves with a sixth season on January 15, 2017. The war on terror continues to rage on, though, and Showtime has already ordered a two-season renewal that will extend the hit political drama long into 2019.
