Proving that point is a new featurette released ahead of tonight’s episode that bears the most foreboding of titles: “The Wrath of Savitar.” In it, executive producer Aaron Helbing teases the emotional journey that Wally West must go through in order to avert his sister’s murder at the hands of the God of Speed in the near future.

Also, is it just me or does Savitar himself look a little more practical in the footage provided, as if he were a stuntman in a prosthetic suit as opposed to a CGI creation? If so, I wouldn’t rule it out since I recently discussed the possibility that “Attack on Gorilla City” consumed a good amount of the visual effects budget. Even if that’s the case, he’s still looking pretty sharp. Hey, if Smallville could pull off Doomsday practically when their budget was slashed, The CW’s current crown jewel should be able to work wonders.

For more information, be sure to check out the official synopsis below:

SAVITAR VISITS WALLY – While training with Barry (Grant Gustin), Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) starts to have visions of Savitar, which he hides from the team. A dangerous secret threatens Barry and Iris’ (Candice Patton) happiness. Alexandra La Roche directed the episode written by Andrew Kreisberg & Andrew Wilder (#315). Original airdate 3/7/2017.

The Flash airs on Tuesday nights on The CW.
