According to the new trailer for the upcoming David Fincher film, The Social Network, Mark Zuckerberg has 500 million friends. Fincher, who is responsible for Seven and Fight Club among others, is directing The Social Network which hits theatres this October and tells the story of the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. Playing the role of Zuckerberg is actor Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland, Adventureland). The first trailer was released yesterday and you can check it out after the jump.

This is a film I’m very excited for. Fincher is one of the best directors currently working in Hollywood and Eisenberg is a promising young actor. The film is based on the novel The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich and the last film based on a Ben Mezrich novel, 21, turned out great. Hopefully The Social Network turns out just as good or better.

Are you looking forward to this film? For those who have read the book, was it any good?
