One of the hottest projects currently going around Hollywood is Pride and Prejudice Zombies. Numerous directors, actors and actresses have been attached to it at some point or have at least been involved in rumors regarding the film. Now we finally have a confirmed name for the project, that name is Mike White, who will serve as the director of the film.

White beat out a couple other directors including Mike Newell (Prince Of Persia: The Sands of Time), Neil Marshall (Centurion), David Slade (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), and Jonathan Demme. White, who’s best known for writing films like School Of Rock and and Orange County, has only directed one other feature, The Year Of The Dog.

While White may have the humor needed for the film, Marshall would have been the man for the blood and gore. I can’t really see White making this film. After seeing and really enjoying both The Descent and Centurion, I really think Marshall should have been chosen.

A couple other names are hovering around the project including Bradley Cooper, Scarlett Johansson, Mia Wasikowska, Tilda Swinton and Catherine O’Hara. Only time will tell which stars actually sign on.

We’ll keep you updated.
