New Character Posters For True Grit

With True Grit right around the corner, the promotional materials are starting to flow in. Today we have some new character posters for the upcoming film from the Coen brothers. Being a Coen brothers film, there’s obviously a lot of hype surrounding it. Will it live up to the Oscar expectations? Judging by the track record of the Coen brothers, I’d say yes. With a cast led by Matt Damon, Jeff Bridges and Josh Brolin, it’s safe to say that at the very least, the film will feature some strong performances.

Seeing as the Coen brothers are remaking John Wayne, they have to be pretty careful; it takes some courage to tread into that territory. If anyone can do it though, it’s the Coens. They’ve proved to us with numerous films that they’re one of the best directing duos in Hollywood. If you need further proof just go watch No Country For Old Men. With early Oscar buzz already starting to build around the film and more specifically around the young Hailee Steinfeld, you can be sure this will be a serious contender for the awards season.
