While it took almost ten years to track down and eliminate Osama Bin Laden, it only took 10 hours after his reported death for plans to be set in motion for a film focusing on the matter.

Academy Award winning director Kathryn Bigelow, along with a script from Mark Boal, will turn the hunt for Bin Laden into an intense film simply titled Bin Laden.

The film already has some serious star power in the form of Kyle Chandler, Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Joel Edgerton and Chris Pratt but it seems that casting is not over yet. Harold Perrineau has joined the film today but his role is currently unknown.

The film will be focus on NAVY SEAL Team 6’s hunt for Bin Laden, which should make for some compelling material. As for the release date, in order to avoid the presidential election, Sony Pictures has scheduled a December 19th release date – just in time for the holiday season.
