Designer Tim Browne recently updated his Twitter profile to include the information that he will be serving as lead game designer on Assassin’s Creed III‘s multiplayer mode, along with development house Ubisoft Annecy.

While Browne has not worked on an Assassin’s Creed game before, the main development team at Annecy is the same group responsible for the unique multiplayer in the previous two games, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.

These games included several modes based around the idea of blending into crowds and assassinating other player-controlled characters, and at the moment, it’s unknown if that will carry over to this next entry or if they will be trying something different.

Assassin’s Creed III is currently scheduled for an October 30th release.
