Warner Bros. And Fox Both Producing Moses Films

The Bible based epics are back. Perhaps the most well known are Mel Gibson's The Passion Of The Christ and Cecil B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments. Looks like Hollywood is jumping back on board the Bible train. Both Warner Bros. and Fox are preparing Moses films.

The Bible based epics are back. Perhaps the most well known are Mel Gibson’s The Passion Of The Christ and Cecil B. DeMille’s The Ten Commandments. Looks like Hollywood is jumping back on board the Bible train. Both Warner Bros. and Fox are preparing Moses films.

Over at Warner, Stuart Hazeldine and Michael Green are working on the screenplay for Moses, which will tell the story of the Israelites’ departure from Egypt. If you’re unfamiliar with Green and Hazeldine, Green is known for writing Green Lantern and is currently hard at work on The Flash. As for Hazeldine, he’s busy writing The Tripods for director Alex Proyas.

The Fox project is still unnamed but the script is in the hands of Bill Collage and Adam Cooper. Collage and Cooper have done films like Accepted and New York Minute which make them kind of an odd choice for this project.

Bible movies are hit or miss. They definitely won’t appeal to everyone but I did enjoy The Passion of the Christ and if you can get through The Ten Commandments, it’s a good film. I’ll probably keep on eye both these projects and as always, we’ll keep you updated.
