thatgamecompany’s Creative Director, Jenova Chen, has announced that their latest title, Journey, has broken the PlayStation Store sales record to become the fastest-selling game ever released on the PSN in the SCEA region since it launched two weeks ago.

Chen also revealed that due to request by fans a soundtrack for Journey’s music will be hitting the PlayStation Store and iTunes on April 10th and a “limited CD release” is also being planned for the “near future”.

Journey is one of the most amazing and unique video games that I’ve ever played, and I’m happy to see that it has turned out to be such a success for thatgamecompany. Journey deserves all the praise that could possible be heaped upon it, and I full recommend it to anyone who has access to a PS3 and a broadband connection.
