Remember when Square Enix was leaving incredibly vague hints to…something? It’s been revealed. It’s a browser game, it’s called Crystal Conquest, and it actually has potential to be pretty cool.

Said to combine strategy and action, the game takes two teams of 20 against each other, both summoning monsters and using other abilites, side-scroller style. Players utilize skills in decks and cards earned before battle.

I’m not sure what to think about this. At least Square is trying something new, I guess.

The game should be available for everyone in Japan this Summer. No word on if it’ll be hitting us yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
