Skylanders Cloud Patrol was released today on the Apple App Store for all iDevices – meaning the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The gameplay is that of an arcade shooting gallery, with leaderboards and unlockables included as extras. Just like in Skylanders for the consoles, players can input their figure codes and unlock over 30 characters.

In Cloud Control, you play in a region run by the Portal Master, Kaos. Using your ship in the sky, you must take down the enemies and build up point combos along the way. Using either the in-game currency or your real money, you can collect new items and expand your collection of skylanders.

Skylanders Cloud Patrol is out now for $0.99 on the App Store. There’s no word on an Android version, but we’ll keep you posted if we hear anything.
