Will Darksiders II Receive A Delay?

Darksiders II may not be headed to our favourite gaming platforms on June 26 after all. Its release on that surprisingly popular early summer day is in jeopardy, as recent THQ statements to RipTen have indicated that the game may need more time in-development. During the site's interview with THQ EVP Danny Bilson, one of the publisher's other representatives commented, saying that the company is "honestly" unable to confirm whether the title's release date will stick.

Darksiders II may not be headed to our favourite gaming platforms on June 26 after all. Its release on that surprisingly popular early summer day is in jeopardy, as recent THQ statements to RipTen have indicated that the game may need more time in-development. During the site’s interview with THQ EVP Danny Bilson, one of the publisher’s other representatives commented, saying that the company is “honestly” unable to confirm whether the title’s release date will stick.

Bilson’s response was also ambiguous:

“We haven’t announced anything… but the team is working really, really hard. We’re not going to ship it before it’s done.”

Keep in mind that an official statement has yet to be made, so it’s possible that Darksiders II may still launch on June 26. However, the aforementioned comments make it seem unlikely. It’s a shame that what looks to be one of the best releases of this year might be delayed, but I’d rather play a polished game than one which needed more time in the shop.
