Rayman Origins, last year’s critically acclaimed hand-drawn 2D platformer from Ubisoft, was recently acknowledged by the publisher as being profitable in the long term despite initial low sales. As a possible result of seeing some financial gain from it, a recent marketing survey shows signs that a sequel may be in the works.

The survey, distributed by marketing firm Arkenford, contains several images that show a return to the 2D gameplay of the original Origins. It also features tidbits of info saying that such things as ghosts, dragons and even Greek mythology, will factor into the sequel’s environments. The co-op multiplayer from the original is also apparently returning.

We will keep you updated on any future news regarding this potential sequel.
