Writer Damon Lindelof, who co-created ABC’s hit show Lost, has put fans into a frenzy this morning as he’s revealed that the show may return in some form. Variety is reporting that Lindelof stated that fans may not have seen the last of Lost but that if it does return, he won’t be involved.
It’s been two years (since the series wrapped) and we told the story we wanted to tell….I do feel like the world has not seen the end of ‘Lost,’ but I’m not going to have any involvement.
The way he states it, it seems like he does indeed know of something Lost-related that is currently in the works. I don’t think he’s just guessing, I think he knows that the show is returning in some form. It’s almost certain that what he’s referring to will not be a seventh season and it’s also very likely that it won’t be in the form of a television show at all.
My best guess is for something online or interactive. Either way, whatever it is, I can’t see it being a huge deal and likely, it will only be for the hardcore fans.
Nevertheless, let the speculation begin!
