Movie posters are a curious marketing tool. They may seem simple, but fascinating ones have the ability to spark interest as much as awful ones do to turn potential cinema-goers off completely. However, that’s not to say you can’t have some fun with them as well.

Next Movie recently unveiled 10 indie-inspired posters for some of the summers biggest upcoming blockbusters including The AvengersThe Dark Knight Rises, Prometheus and The Amazing Spider-Man.

Those for Battleship, Men in Black III and Snow White and the Huntsman are particularly inspired, and except in the case of the latter, I expect these posters are going to offer more creativity than the films themselves.
