PC gamers, rejoice! Company of Heroes, one of the all-time great real-time strategy games, is finally getting a sequel. The upcoming issue of PC Gamer will reportedly be graced by our noble Russian military leaders, as they announce that we’ll resume operations come 2013. Although that above-mentioned image leaked on to NeoGAF, we don’t have many details quite yet.

PC gamers, rejoice! Company of Heroes, one of the all-time great real-time strategy games, is finally getting a sequel. The upcoming issue of PC Gamer will reportedly be graced by our noble Russian military leaders, as they announce that we’ll resume operations come 2013. Although that above-mentioned image leaked on to NeoGAF, we don’t have many details quite yet. However, we do know that this sequel will focus on the Eastern Front of WWII and its Russian operations.

Greg Wilson, producer at Relic, stated that:

Company of Heroes 2 is a true successor, introducing a new front, new protagonists and new technology, while retaining the unique mix of strategic gameplay and competitive multiplayer that made the original Company of Heroes such a success.”

Sadly, we won’t be seeing any Company of Heroes 2 action on the floor of E3 this year due to THQ’s financial condition.
