Wait…what? This is one of those times where you have to sit back and scratch your head a bit. Croteam has decided to extend the life of one of the Serious Sam games through a bit of DLC due out on the 15th.

Now, I’m sure you’re thinking the same thing I was when I got the news: “Awesome, Serious Sam 3 is in desperate need of more giant mutated pink scorpions”. Well, yes, that’s still true, but Croteam decided to do what they do best and throw everyone for yet another loop. This latest bit of DLC will actually be for Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter, adding three new campaign missions as well as three new maps for the Brutal Survivor and Chaotic Survivor modes.

Many companies claim to use DLC to prolong the lives of their games, but adding DLC to a two year-old game is the very definition of that. Bravo, Croteam; I think you’ve earned another five bucks from my wallet.
