Role-playing archetypes will not take over the boys of South Park during the calendar year of 2012. Thanks to THQ‘s fiscal report, we’ve learned that South Park: The Stick of Truth has been delayed into the last quarter of the company’s fiscal year 2013. That time frame suggests a release before March of next year, as the third month of 2013 will mark the end of FY2013.

Earlier this year, the game’s developer, Obsidian Entertainment, was forced to lay off some of its employees. South Park: The Game, as it was once known, lost a few members from its team. Perhaps that has something to do with this delay, but we don’t know for sure. It could also be a strategical marketing move, in order to get away from this fall’s big games. Then again, this is a South Park game we’re talking about.
