SEGA Vintage Collection 3 Coming To XBLA And PSN

Sega has confirmed that a collection of some of their classic titles from the days of arcades, the Master System, and the Genesis will be getting downloadable re-releases this week via Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. These will include titles from such series as Monster World, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage, including Monster World IV, which has previously never been released outside of Japan.

SEGA has confirmed that a collection of some of their classic titles from the days of arcades, the Master System, and the Genesis will be getting downloadable re-releases this week via Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. These will include titles from such series as Monster World, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage, including Monster World IV, which has previously never been released outside of Japan.

Release methods will vary between systems. Titles will be available individually on the PSN for $4.99 each, while Xbox users will have package deals of 3 titles for 800 Microsoft Points each.

The titles Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy in Monster World, Monster World IV, Super Hang-On, Revenge of Shinobi, and Alex Kidd in Miracle World will all launch on May 22 for the PSN.

For the Xbox, May 23 will see the releases of the Monster World and Alex Kidd & Co. collections, as well as Golden Axe and Streets of Rage collections on May 30.
