Though we’ve already seen a few set photos from Tom Hooper‘s Les Miserables, today we have the first batch of official photos for your viewing pleasure. These photos presumably are leading up the the debut of a teaser trailer (which I’m mighty excited for) but until then, you’ll have to whet your appetite with the images below.
Having seen the play multiple times, I’m really looking forward to seeing what Hooper and his cast can do with the classic musical. The film certainly has Oscar potential but until we’ve seen some footage, it’s hard to know whether it will be on par with Hooper’s previous film, The King’s Speech, or just a mis-guided attempt to bring one of Broadway’s best productions to film.
Les Miserables stars Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen and Eddie Redmayne and will hit theaters everywhere on December 14th, 2012.
