Ubisoft has made Rayman Legends official via a live demonstration at E3. So far, Wii U is the only confirmed version of the game, and it looks to take great advantage of the system’s unique controller.

Up to 5 players will be able to play at once – 4 with Wii Remotes or Pro controllers, and one with the Wii U GamePad. The player with the GamePad will be able to see the game on its screen, and will use touch controls to interact with the environments and help Rayman navigate.

It was also shown that Rayman will be leaping through various background planes to great graphical effect, as displayed in a unique level whose environment matched up with a rocking guitar background track.

We will have more details on Rayman Legends as soon as they are revealed.
