Hitting the PS3 and XBOX 360 early next year is Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. This week at E3, the game was definitely one of the more popular titles on the show floor and judging by these new screens from VG247, I can see why.

Raiden looks to be having a bloody good time slicing and dicing his foes in the latest title from Platinum Games and Kojima Productions, which takes place nine years after Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and acts as a spinoff of sorts.

Reports from the E3 show floor confirm the game’s “most anticipated of 2013” status, with journalists praising the bold new direction that the series is taking.
