In some deliciously decadent news, a behind the scenes video and an episode recap for True Blood season five have leaked out onto the internet. Both clips contain heavy spoilers for the upcoming season but if your as misanthropic as the characters in this show, watch to your heart’s content.

This season, it looks like the show will stray pretty far from the novels, at least if these videos are any indication. Tara is now a vampire and the only thing she hated less then them was going through a scene without her lips quivering. Elsewhere, Reverend Steve Newlin is back in undead form and seems to have taken a liking to Jason. Lastly, Eric and Bill are still an 80’s buddy cop duo and hunting down various vampire authority members, which means we finally see the mysterious cabal of high ranking vampires that have been hinted at throughout the show. Most importantly however is that it appears that Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare) is coming back and is looking for whatever vengeance he can get. Russell was the show’s best villain and I for one can’t wait to see him return. True Blood season five airs tonight on HBO, check out the two spoiler-heavy videos below.
