After overcoming my initial disappointment that Rise of the Guardians is not a sequel to Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, my intrigue for the upcoming animated feature grew due to the film’s fascination concept.  And upon noticing the immaculate voice talents listed for the film, my excitement made me take further notice.

The story takes place in a world where Pitch, the Boogeyman, is ready to launch a full blown assault and take over the world. In an attempt to save the planet, the Guardians must band together to protect children’s ideals everywhere.

I have to admit, this is one of the more intriguing ideas for an animated feature in a long time. Quite frankly, any feature that includes Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy is going to garner any child’s attention. While the additions of the Sandman and Jack Frost might not impress many of the youngsters, I think it’s safe to say that Rise of the Guardians is still an adventure that any child will partake in over the impending holiday season.

The animated feature voiced by Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher, and Jude Law rises in theaters on November 21st.

Until then, check out the posters below.
