‘Indiana Jones’ star predicts that ‘Dial of Destiny’ is going to ‘blow people’s minds’

Apparently, making the thing was a ton of irreplaceable fun.

Next year, the swan song for Indiana Jones will be played when the last entry — to star Harrison Ford, at least — in the franchise, Dial of Destiny, releases. While fan anticipation for the series’ fifth installment is rising ever-higher on a daily basis, only the cast and crew know for sure, what’s in store when Indy returns once more, and one star fully believes it’s going to be a slam dunk.

Boyd Holbrook makes the comments in a new article published by Inverse. The Klaber portrayer says the movie will be a throwback to the tone of the first three films and, apparently, making the feature was a ton of irreplaceable fun as an actor.

“Harrison’s a wild man, do not count against him. James Mangold has come through and made an incredible film. I think it’s gonna blow people’s minds. I was just tickled, absolutely tickled to death to be on stage, and have fun with those guys for nine months. I’ll never get that time back. We made an Indiana Jones movie and fans are gonna love it. It’s gonna be just like the old ones.”

Holbrook adds he has not seen the full piece yet, and only a few minutes more than the public. While this is the last outing for Ford, the franchise will continue in some way with a television series on Disney Plus. It is not going to involve any of the characters from the film, and, according to director James Mangold, it will feature a new character audiences have not yet seen. For now, all anyone can do is speculate and wonder. The coming film will take place around the Space Race and feature Jones going up against Nazis recruited by the U.S. to help them beat Russia in the cosmic sprint.

Apart from Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Holbrook, others in the piece include Mads Mikkelsen, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Shaunette Renee-Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones and bodybuilder Olivier Richters.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny opens June 30, 2023.
