Seaman creator Yoot Saito Tweeted a picture of a Seaman dressed like Santa to his followers today along with the message, “it’s about time that he begin thinking about the end of the year”.

With nothing else to go on, the exact meaning behind the Christmas-themed picture of the classic Dreamcast game is a bit of a mystery. The best case scenario is that the Nikkei report from last February was correct and a new Seaman game is headed to the 3DS, and will be announced/released the end of this year. The worst case scenario is that Saito is simply toying with our emotions.

Here’s hoping for the 3DS game, but either way I’m pretty sure that I just found the picture that I’m going to use for my Christmas cards this year.
