The trial has been pretty wild so far.

The popular rapper Young Thug has been accused by prosecutors of doing a hand-to-hand drug exchange in the courtroom during his RICO trial.

A reporter from WSBTV shared a video of the alleged handoff. It shows Young Thug, real name Jeffery Lamar Williams, get something from the hand of the his co defendant Kalief Adams while he’s sitting at his lawyer’s table. Take a look:

Reporter Michael Seiden explained that prosecutors say Adams dropped a Percocet into the rapper’s hand, which a deputy confiscated. Adams was apparently packing a whole pharmacy.

“When deputies searched Adams, they found him in possession of Percocet, marijuana and tobacco wrapped in plastic and food seasonings to conceal the odor of weed, according to investigators.”

After all the hoopla in the courtroom, Adams had to be taken to the hospital after he allegedly ate all the drugs in his possession.

Young Thug’s attorney, Keith Adams, spoke to the media regarding the incident claiming that the rapper had no part in the alleged handoff.

“His side is the truth. The reality is Mr. Williams had nothing to do with what went on in the courtroom on yesterday. One of the codefendants on his way to the restroom attempted to pass something to Mr. Williams who immediately turned it over to the deputy,” the lawyer said.

The lawyer said the rapper had no idea what was being handed to him.

“He did not know. We don’t know what it is, did not know. It was turned over to a deputy right away,” Keith Adams said.

The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office said they are investigating the issue and have not yet made a decision about whether either party will be charged with a crime. Kalief Adams’ attorney Teombre Calland said his client was innocent and that prosecutors were upset that jury selection was taking so long.

“On behalf of Mr. Adams, these allegations are simply that: mere statements made by the state in an effort to thwart the lengthiness of the jury selection process. Mr. Adams adamantly maintains his innocence and looks forward to the conclusion of this trial.”

The rapper’s accused of being at the head of a criminal enterprise. He was indicted along with 27 other people with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. Prosecutors say the rappers group Young Slime Life (YSL) is a street gang affiliated with the Bloods.

With so many defendants, prosecutors say the trial could last a year.
