Sony Computer Entertainment of America announced today that they are planning to kick off a LittleBigPlanet Karting beta for the PS3 in the very near future.

No exact details were provided as to when the beta will go live or what prospective users will need to do to get in on all the hot karting action, but Sony did say that the goal will be to “get feedback on the overall experience”. Hopefully this is an indication that the developers will be testing out cross-platform play between the PS3 and PS Vita LittleBigPlanet Karting beta, which has been running since shortly after it was announced in May.

As soon as more details break on how you can register for the LittleBigPlanet Karting beta on PS3 we will let you know.

[Update] Registration for the LittleBigPlanet Karting beta is now open. Sing up here.
