Brand New Trailer For Total Recall Remake

The brand new action-packed trailer for Len Wiseman's Total Recall, starring Colin Farrell and directed by Len Wisemen, has arrived online. Looking like a stereotypical sci-fi setting with flying cars and drab color scheme, I'm hoping Total Recall's impressive cast can inject some life into Wiseman's remake. Colin Farrell will play main character Doug Quaid, joined by Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, Bill Nighy, John Cho, Bookeem Woodbine and Will Yun Lee.

Looks like we’re getting some more reality from Len Wiseman‘s Total Recall remake tonight as a brand new trailer has popped up via The Playlist.

Overall, the trailer doesn’t offer much new information. There are a few nods to Paul Verhoeven‘s original film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger thrown in for nostalgia, but don’t expect the same cheesy 90’s feel.  Wiseman opted for a grittier and darker tone, with a few cheeky one-liners forced into the trailer.  Oh how I wish the voice of Arnold was delivering Colin Farrell‘s lines…

For those unfamiliar with the story, find the official synopsis below:

Welcome to Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory worker named Douglas Quaid, even though he’s got a beautiful wife who he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect vacation from his frustrating life – real memories of life as a super-spy might be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police – controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen, the leader of the free world – Quaid teams up with a rebel fighter to find the head of the underground resistance and stop Cohaagen. The line between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate.

Looking like a stereotypical sci-fi setting with flying cars and a drab color scheme, I’m hoping Total Recall‘s impressive cast can inject some life into Wiseman’s remake.  Colin Farrell will play main character Doug Quaid and he’ll be joined by Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston, Bill Nighy, John Cho, Bookeem Woodbine and Will Yun Lee.

On a side note, I commend Total Recall‘s marketing campaign as I see numerous advertisements asking me to escape my normal life and visit Rekall.  Very vibrant and eye-catching stuff on my walk through New York City.

Check out the trailer below and give us your impression in the comments.
