Bradley Cooper’s mom savagely roasts her son in T-Mobile Super Bowl commercial

Not even nine Oscar nominations could keep Cooper safe here.

From Wet Hot American Summer to The Hangover franchise to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Bradley Cooper has had his fair share of screen partners and rarely does the leading man ever get only a small slice of the spotlight. After the glimpse we got of him during the Super Bowl, however (the glimpse in which he wasn’t a CGI raccoon), we think Cooper may have met his match in none other than his own mother.

In an absolutely gut-busting advertisement for T-Mobile, the commercial went all in with the outtakes between the celebrity endorser and his mother, which leads us to believe that a blooperless cut of the commercial was never the plan in the first place.

In any case, it’s nice to know that Cooper shares such a close relationship with his mother, as evidenced by her merciless roasting of the nine-time Oscar nominee; indeed, whether it was his flamingo-esque appearance or reminders that his aforementioned nominations never resulted in a win, Cooper’s mother was relentless.

As expected, Twitter became obsessed in a matter of minutes.

As alluded to earlier, this wasn’t Cooper’s only appearance as far as Super Bowl content goes; the actor is also the voice of the MCU’s Rocket Raccoon, who will be returning to the franchise in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, a film that happened to receive a brand new trailer during the event. Of course, that trailer didn’t elicit quite as many laughs as the T-Mobile ad, seeing as it reinforced fears that this beloved superhero team won’t all be coming out of this alive.

We’ll find out for sure once Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 releases to theaters on May 5, but for now, let’s just let Cooper and his mother put smiles on our faces and laughs in our bellies.
