‘The Marvels’ skip the Super Bowl, and not even a new ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ trailer can soothe the pain

Where's 'The Marvels' trailer, Kevin Feige?

For Marvel fans, the Super Bowl almost feels like another comic con given the fact that we know to expect a trailer or two to premiere at some point. When a much-anticipated trailer does not drop, they are left feeling rather disappointed. Now, many are expressing their dissatisfaction at not having seen anything for The Marvels during the big game or on social media.

Despite the movie’s release not being that far away, fans have barely heard a whisper about the upcoming film which will see Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau coming together on the big screen. Many were hoping that we would get something to give us an indication as to what we could expect from the project.

Instead, we received another Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailer. Although we aren’t mad at that by any means — especially as we see a lot more of Gamora who appears to have rejoined the universe-saving gang once more — fans have still been left feeling a little deflated.

The last we saw of the characters, Captain Marvel had cosmically switched places with Ms. Marvel, arriving confused in the latter’s bedroom. We have no idea where Ms. Marvel is whatsoever, and Monica Rambeau was last seen in WandaVision having only just received her powers after having her DNA rewritten. We all want to know what events will bring these three together and what they will have to face in their near-imminent adventure.

Fans are now sharing their frustration at not getting what they wanted.

In a sea of sporting enthusiasts, Marvel fans feel a little out of place right now.

Some are wondering why Marvel Studios couldn’t have included a more rounded trailer, one that gives us a little taste of everything that is to come.

Perhaps if we pretend to be aloof about the whole thing they will drop it faster.

This fan is ready to get a little aggressive with Kevin Feige in order to get this trailer.

The Hellman’s commercial is not the way fans wanted to see Brie Larson today.

Fans really are heartbroken over this.

It may be that we will have to wait until April to get a trailer. The studio will likely focus all of their marketing on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and GOTG 3 first. For many, the wait feels like it will be too long, so when it comes, it better deliver.
