Vincent D’Onofrio shares his jealousy over talented song mocking George Santos

He loves it!

Even Wilson Fisk isn’t a fan of George Santos apparently. Actor Vincent D’Onofrio recently shared his love for and jealousy over a song making the rounds impressively skewering Santos and his penchant for lies.

Viral comedian Randy Rainbow released a parody song today called “Life’s a F–king Fantasy for Santos,” in which he uses the song “Jolly Holiday” from Mary Poppins (the 1964 version) as a base. Sample lines:  “Ain’t he a sack of BS?/ How’d they elect such a mess?” and “I think he might be high.”

“Gosh I wish I was as talented as Randy,” D’Onofrio said. “Love this so much.”

Rainbow dresses up like Poppins and carefully eviscerates all of Santos’ falsehoods, like how he was a Wall Street Tycoon who had Britney Spears perform at his Bar Mitzvah, even though he’s not Jewish.

The song moves into a parody of The Seekers’ 1966 hit “Georgy Girl,” with lyrics like “Hey there, Georgy girl/ Shut your stupid hole and don’t deflect,” and “Find a little self-respect/ And maybe it’s you they’ll like.”

The songs coda brings both parts together as Rainbow sings, “His nose keeps growing as the Feds close in, ‘cause everything’s a fantasy with Santos/ My fantasy’s that Santos goes away!”

D’Onofrio is actually a bit of a comedic musician himself, so the tribute to Rainbow isn’t coming out of nowhere. He’s performed as George Geronimo Gerkie, a “legendary country singer” a few times over the years. Here’s what that looks like:

He was also part of a spoken word project with musician Dana Lyn. The song “I’m a Hamster” garnered some social media attention. It’s… something alright.

We’ll of course see D’Onofrio reprise his role as Marvel villain Wilson Fisk in the upcoming series Daredevil Reborn on Disney Plus. We’ll also get to see Jon Bernthal back as The Punisher, although we don’t know how intense he’ll get to be considering the show isn’t on Netflix anymore.

In a recent appearance on the podcast The Real Ones, Bernthal shared that D’Onofrio brought the same intimidating energy he has as Fisk to real life when he would talk to executives.

“He’s so like, he’s so, if you are… an antithesis to what we are trying to do, like director, producer, if you are not part of the artistic journey, dude you are the f***ing enemy and he like, lets you know. I saw him like, just completely crumple Marvel execs on Daredevil.”

Maybe he could get Santos to finally resign.
