Marjorie Taylor Greene‘s latest Twitter antics are causing a stir online, to the surprise of absolutely no one, but the timing of her latest mean-girl-tweet is rubbing even some of her supporters the wrong way. News broke late Monday morning that a shooting in Nashville, Tennessee, at the private Covenant School had taken the lives of six people — three of them children — and wounded several more, in addition to imparting further public trauma to students, educators, and their families everywhere.

Heartbreaking images of loved ones waiting to find out whether their children began appearing in news coverage from sources like CNN and ABC, and instead of considering the depths of emotion we’re all feeling today, Greene showed her true colors by poking fun at President Joe Biden for talking about ice cream.

Yes, she took to Twitter to call the White House “a nursing home” because President Biden opened a briefing by sharing a smile and a bit of joy over a mid-day treat.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene shared the following sentiments on her separate Twitter account regarding the mass shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville that left six dead, plus the shooter. Calling Biden a fool and a failure, she certainly didn’t waste this moment to throw another insult because, well, why would she?

While the idea of good guys with guns stopping bad guys with guns is a heavily-debated scenario, a response to her Tweet shares that there have been situations where the good guys with guns didn’t act; the law enforcement response during the heartbreaking mass shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas being one example.

Her followers noticed how quickly she was done sending “thoughts and prayers” to Nashville before hurling even more insults towards President Biden and the White House.

While some of the responses were a show of frustration, others were more upfront about the disregard they hold for Greene and the way she uses her platform, especially in moments like these. Scott Bauer didn’t mince his words when he responded to Greene’s seeming inability to just take a moment without an unkindness being shared.

While we know little to nothing about the motives behind this mass shooting, we know enough as a nation to recognize that we all need more kindness, we need more space where we can exist without seeing ugly words thrown at one another, mockery made of our peers, and we certainly don’t need more negativity and pain when it’s already something being felt by people everywhere.

The latest reports say that a 28-year-old woman was able to enter the Covenant School through a side door, and shoot three students and three adults before she was killed.
