The biggest concern about a much-anticipated horror series shockingly has absolutely nothing to do with the plot

The concerns have already started.

Less than two years ago, the drama-filled lawsuit that long plagued the Friday the 13th franchise finally came to an end. And with it, an announcement eventually rolled about Peacock and Hannibal producer Bryan Fuller crafting a prequel series about the ever-popular horror franchise. Flash-forward to present day, and Crystal Lake has already been greenlit and rumored to premiere sometime in 2024. And while the presumed head-scratching premise is confusing folks, apparently the biggest concern about the series is for an entirely different reason.

As it turns out, not every horror fanatic and Friday die-hard over on the r/horror subreddit is excited by the idea of Jason Voorhees returning to the silver screen. In fact, one user in particular expressed a serious concern about production house A24 being involved in the project. This concern seems a bit puzzling, honestly, seeing as A24 has massive experience working with horror projects and definitely has the budget available to create something spectacular.

These concerns seem even sillier when you consider the fact that Fuller, who gained a colossal cult following thanks to his work on Hannibal, is at the center of the series. And with A24 simultaneously calling the shots behind the scenes, it feels fair to say that the series is in good hands. That being said, the biggest concern as of right now should be aimed at the series’ plot — which has yet to be officially revealed.

Of course, our fingers are crossed in the hopes that the series will exclusively focus on Jason Voorhees once more — although rumors are pointing at the chance of the show revolving around Jason’s mother Pamela and her life before Jason was murdered at Camp Crystal Lake.
