Everything touched by the spider senses is pretty much guaranteed to enjoy bountiful success. As Marvel Comics extends its wings into the animated realm with Miles Morales as the beloved Spider-Man, more and more fans fall under its influence, patiently waiting for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse to finally hit screens.
Boasting inventive, unique animation, with the obvious intention of creating a moving comic book, Into the Spiderverse received acclaim due to its stunning animated work, alongside its star-studded cast and engaging storyline. Anchored by Shameik Moore as the voice behind Morales, the multiverse was introduced to the Spider-Verse, via all its iterations of spidey, including versions voiced by Nicolas Cage and Jake Johnson.
Due to land this June, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will thrust Miles Morales into a new adventure after reuniting with Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld).
How old is Miles Morales?
Although Miles Morales’ age in the first installment was never specified, it is suspected that the young teen was around 14-15 at the time of the events in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. As the trailer shows a much taller Morales, with a larger physique and a deeper voice, it is evident some time has passed, pointing to the teen being around 17 years old. Producer Chris Miller has previously described Miles as a teenager in Across the Spider-Verse, confirming that the teen hasn’t yet reached adulthood.
If Miles is indeed 17 years old, the two-year gap would mark the events that occurred between the two installments. The sequel will introduce Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson) and Mary Jane’s (Zoe Kravitz) daughter, Mayday. As per Miller at the Premium AfterParty, the producer revealed a picture of a baby at around one year of age, allowing for speculation that between the pregnancy and Mayday’s age, at least two years have gone by since Into the Spider-Verse.
No concrete figure is available as of writing, then, though it’s safe to assume that Miles is well on his way to entering adulthood. With any luck, an official age will be provided on June 13 when Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swings into theaters.
