Marvel carries on promoting ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ by pretending Jonathan Majors doesn’t exist

Nothing to see her, just a regular old Marvel movie with no controversy attached whatsoever.

So far, Marvel Studios hasn’t uttered a single word on the allegations surrounding Jonathan Majors, which heightened yesterday when another bombshell report dropped that could potentially spell very bad news for the actor’s career.

Of course, that leaves the cinematic universe in a sticky situation for a variety of reasons, not least of all the fact Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania only recently released on digital and on-demand following one of the most lackluster box office runs in the franchise’s long and esteemed history.

Marvel needs to promote the hell out of the movie in order to recoup some of those costs that had Quantumania pegged to lose as much as $150 million by the time it left theaters, but it also can’t acknowledge that the third-billed name in the cast is in real danger of watching his career implode amidst a barrage of assault accusations.

So, what’s the compromise? Based on the latest promo to drop for the third Ant-Man adventure, Marvel will simply keep the Quantumania hype train rolling along by completely ignoring Majors’ presence as Kang the Conqueror.

The longer the situation rumbles on, the more likely it’s beginning to look that the fast-rising star will be given his marching orders for the MCU, which would then necessitate sweeping changes to the remainder of the Multiverse Saga. Until then, Marvel is required to shill Quantumania as hard as it possibly can until it lands on Disney Plus, just don’t expect to see any footage that involves the villain of the piece.
