The rose-tinted SnyderVerse glasses get thicker by the day after Amber Heard’s Mera is deemed ‘perfect’

Yeah, we're not buying it.

For the most part, Zack Snyder tends to win a lot of plaudits for the way he cast the SnyderVerse, which is well-deserved when he was the one responsible for recruiting Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, and many others that would go on to become a key fabric of the DCU’s initial iteration.

As was revealed during her trial opposite ex-husband Johnny Depp, though, he also cast Amber Heard as Mera; a decision that hasn’t aged well in hindsight after the Aquaman star became one of the least popular figures on the internet during her lengthy legal battle against her former spouse.

Even though her performance in James Wan’s aquatic epic wasn’t entirely well-received – and her mere presence in sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is proving to be a bone of contention – Snyder deemed Mera worthy enough to merit a place in the reshoots that took place prior to the release of his four-hour Justice League.

Of course, that didn’t pass without incident after her bizarre and thoroughly terrible accent was dragged across the hot coals of criticism, but one totally unbiased SnyderVerse stalwart has nonetheless offered that she was perfect in the role.

If you can’t believe in an account named “meradcu” with a profile picture of Mera to pass reasonable judgement on Amber Heard’s Mera, then who can you trust? Incredibly, there’s a lot of support in the comments and replies, even though the majority would surely state almost the exact opposite.
