15 Minutes Of Injustice: Gods Among Us

It’s a neat idea to think that the Mortal Kombat developers are  working on a fighting game that pits DC Comics‘ finest against each other. Granted, they’ve already tried something like this once, but this time the game actually looks good. IGN has gotten their hands on an extended demo footage of Injustice: Gods Among Us.

The demo spans two matches, and is narrated by the master of fighting creativity himself, Ed Boon. This footage was shown at EVO 2012 over the weekend.

What’s interesting to note particularly is the emphasis on environmental interaction. This means using things as weapons, stage hazards, throwing an opponent to a new section of your current arena, etc. I’m particularly impressed by the different types of interactions depending on what kind of fighter you’re using. Wrestling fans know we’ve been dying to get something similar into our WWE games for decades now.
