We don’t need to wait until James Gunn’s ‘Superman: Legacy’ for the perfect ‘Man of Steel’ follow-up, it’s already here

The rebooted DCU has already been beaten to the punch.

DC die-hards are impatiently waiting for the day when Superman: Legacy gets here so we can have the Last Son of Krypton back on the big screen where he belongs. Although there’s no way for Henry Cavill to return to his beloved role, unfortunately, SnyderVerse loyalists at least hope that James Gunn will be able to measure up to the kind of epic action that Zack Snyder delivered in Man of Steel.

For those people, though, what would you say if I told you the real successor to MOS‘s heart-pounding and building-leveling action was already here? Following fans rallying behind it as it rests on the bubble of cancellation, Superman & Lois is finding a whole new audience online after a jaw-dropping set piece from its season three premiere went viral.

OP @NebsGoodTakes reacted with surprise at how such a visually stunning sequence could come from a network that has a reputation for cheap production values.

A glimpse at the replies make clear that many out there had no idea Superman & Lois has been handing in this level of quality for years.

Maybe it’s time to finally give it a go, huh?

“Feels like Man of Steel on TV.” Now that’s the highest compliment a Twitter user with a SnyderVerse character avi can give.

Admittedly, the show can’t afford an action scene like this every week but S&L knows to sprinkle them in now and then.

If Superman & Lois looking better than ever comes at the cost of all the other Arrowverse series than that’s a price DC fans are willing to pay.

Superman & Lois season three airs new episodes Tuesdays on The CW. A decision on its future is set to be made next week.
