Brie Larson and Michelle Yeoh channel some superhero energy on the dance floor

Who says Cannes has to be all about high-brow film criticism?

Michelle Yeoh and Brie Larson bonded during this year’s Cannes Film Festival, where the two were seen dancing together during the Kering Women in Motion Dinner.

Variety shared a video showing the two actresses synchronizing their dance moves during the event. Both the crowd and the internet cheered once they saw those two dancing, and who wouldn’t be? Both actresses are Oscar winners and have appeared in the MCU. After seeing this video, fans couldn’t help but hope that both Larson and Yeoh would be in a future movie together.

One thing that the internet didn’t like in the video was the saxophone player. In the video, people noticed this saxophone guy who tried to make his way to the middle of the two women but was blocked by Yeoh. So he appeared on the side, probably on top of the table and the two stopped dancing.

Both Larson and Yeoh have attended the Cannes film festival in the past. However, Yeoh revealed that her first experience 23 years ago was “overwhelming” due to the stress of making sure people like her film. Larson and Yeoh have also been vocal about women and minorities in the industry. And while Larson’s calls of inviting more film critics from diverse backgrounds weren’t received, Yeoh’s observations about how the industry has changed for Asian actors received praise.

So, it’s good to see two women having fun during the film festival. It’s such a shame to see that their dancing lasted for a short period of time.
